Reconnecting: journalists from 9 clusters gear up for DSSPC 2023

Young journos who came from 9 different clusters gathered at Diosdado Macapagal High School (DMHS) on May 3, 2023, to showcase their writing prowess in the Divisional Secondary Schools Press Conference (DSSPC) after successfully passing in the recent Cluster Secondary Schools Press Conference (CSSPC).


The said event commenced with preliminaries hosted by Ms. Norina Lorraine Liscano, followed by the speeches of guest speakers, which are Mr. Naszer C. Yco: Principal IV of DMHS, Dr. Cherry G. Vinluan: Education Program Supervisor (EPS), Filipino, June D. Cunanan: EPS, English, and Hon. Bryan Yutuc: San Nicolas Brgy. Captain.


"The goal of this event is to hone not just simply your skills but also your inner values," said Pineda as she was giving


Journalists will compete for top prizes in various categories, including T.V. Broadcasting, Radio Broadcasting, and Online Desktop Publishing.


The 1st placer in the group category is expected to penetrate the Regional Level that will be set on May 27, in Nueva Ecija.

According to the recent statement provided on Pampanga Provincial Information Office(PIO) official Facebook(FB) Page, as of April 23, 2023,  the province has a total number of 83,758 confirmed COVID-19 cases, by means of Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR) testing, with 0 new cases reported, 56 active cases, 80,657 recoveries, and 3,045 mortalities.
