In the press conference that took place earlier, April 27, 2023, at Malino National High School(MNHS), it was announced by Mr. Joel P. Cadiang, Cluster IV Chairman, the new Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 37, s. 22: Guidelines on the Cancellation of Classes and Work in Schools in the Event of Calamities.
This order was emphasized by another DepEd Memo. 2023-077 containing the details about the programs and adjustments that the principals can do with a complexion in the heat waves.
“We came up with one decision. Yung mga regular schedule ay magshoshorten period at yung may mga shifting classes ay magkakaroon ng alternate schedule,” said Cadiang during the press conference.
This choice was made after several students and school staff mentioned feeling ill as a result of the warm classroom temperatures.
With this change, students who are continuing their education in these difficult times will have access to both online and offline learning tools.
