Philippines ranked the least at the 2018 PISA Exam, the Department of Education found out that there has been a learning gap to the students. They can’t read properly; their reading comprehension is so low. The launch of these programs is an important decision, it’s a risk. It’s either the students learning gap will get small or get bigger.

Students are having difficulties in school, since their vison is so blurry. They can’t afford to buy eyeglasses. They are struggling with their academic performance; their outcome is so poor. The COVID-19 made it so much worse, students are falling way too behind, the learning gap got bigger. Students don’t know how to read, even though they are in high school already.

The success of these programs depends on their way of implementation, it’s important to the Department of Education to work it our properly. To ensure that the program works properly. This is a needed approach for the students, the program aims to eradicate the learning gap. Regardless of the student's background, they have the opportunity to succeed.

As of now, the program’s effectiveness is a cause for celebration. It proves that the programs are a good choice making, students are heading in the right direction. More programs that will succeed will be a great benefit for all students in the country.
